Well when you have pass rushers ( mass,Mopanga, Osi) all dropping back into coverage ............. yea Scheme is a DIRECT issue with causing pressure. The fact we had Beirman trying to cover Greg jennings..................... that tells me all that I need to know I said this on the other board and I'll say it here -- in 3-4 looks, what do you think the other OLB's responsibility is? On most plays, 1 rushes, 1 drops. That's how you maintain the same ability to cover the middle as with a 4-3. If they rush everyone on every play, the middle is wide open and it will look even worse. My guess is we have the coaches getting caught with their pants down in 3-4 looks needing nickel, and they drop an OLB to cover when we should have an extra DB on the field instead, but that's just a guess. The other option is teams are scheming mismatches by putting their best WR in an alignment where the OLB has to cover him, which it seems like we'd figure out sooner or later.
