Falcons reach deal with Tyler Polumbus
The Falcons are reportedly adding a potential competitor for their right tackle job.
The club has reached a contract agreement with Tyler Polumbus, who spent the last four seasons with Washington, Vaughn McClure of ESPN.com reports. Polumbus had visited Atlanta on Tuesday, per multiple reports.
Via his verified Twitter account, Polumbus posted a picture of a Falcons logo and wrote: “Made some incredible memories in DC and some lifelong friendships. I will miss it, but excited for the next chapter!”
The 30-year-old Polumbus started 42-of-47 games for Washington. In Atlanta, he will work again with offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan, who held the same job in Washington for Polumbus’ first three seasons in the nation’s capital.
Polumbus, Lamar Holmes and Ryan Schraeder could all be in the mix at right tackle for Atlanta. The Falcons are set on the left side with 2014 first-round pick Jake Matthews.

Eh, depth and competition. He was/is pretty iffy in pass protection.

Yeah, he's a camp body who might or might not stick around. Starter at best (or at worst?), and probably depth if anything.
I'm okay with the signing, but we still have o-line issues. I still think we need a LG.
