Titans awarded Jonathan Massaquoi off waivers, cut Bernard Pollard
The Tennessee Titans were awarded defensive end Jonathan Massaquoi off waivers from the Atlanta Falcons and cut veteran safety Bernard Pollard.
Pollard ended last season on injured reserve with a torn Achilles.
Pollard, 30, was due $3.1 million next season.
Pollard voiced his displeasure when scouting executive Lake Dawson was fired, saying the wrong person had been fired.
Now, he’s on his way out of Tennessee.
Massaquoi was drafted in 2012 out of Troy.
Massaquoi had two sacks last season and has six sacks in three seasons.
Massaquoi’s work habits last season drew rebukes from the old coaching staff.
