...is not as bad as I had feared. It's not been pleasant, kind of a pain in the ass, but overall not nearly as much pain as I expected.
Of course, the occasional dose of oxycodone helps.

Brings back surprisingly good memories...
Had four wisdom teeth extracted many years ago, but never had any pain...thanks to perocet.
Remembering the oral surgeon saying 'count backwards from 100' and getting to 97 before I was totally out. Woke up to a nice buzz, which continued without pain for a couple of days.
Felt so good, two days later we went out to dinner, ate massive quantities of prime rib and went to a Michael Jackson concert.

A man was just waking up from anaesthesia after surgery, and his wife was sitting by his side. His eyes fluttered open and he said, "You're beautiful." Then he fell asleep again. His wife had never heard him say that, so she stayed by his side. A few minutes later, his eyes fluttered open and he said, "You're cute!" The wife was disappointed because instead of "beautiful," it was now "cute." She said, "What happened to 'beautiful'?" The man replied, "The drugs are wearing off!"
