Johnny Manziel to start this week
It's about three weeks too late but Johnny Manziel will finally start his first NFL game.
According to FOX Sports' Jay Glazer, Manziel and Brian Hoyer have been notified that the rookie will start this week against the Bengals. The Browns are in the middle of a playoff push, which may have been why they wanted to stick with the game manager in Hoyer. But Hoyer has made too many mistakes in recent weeks, with his performance this past week the final straw.
The starting job was Hoyer's to lose all season. He'd been able to skate by for a while and finally began to unravel on the field. If the Browns are going to make the playoffs, it will be thanks to the one they call Johnny Football.
