Marcus Lattimore considering retiring
It will be an absolute shame if Marcus Lattimore is unable to play a down in the NFL.
But that appears to at least be a possibility. According to an ESPN report, Lattimore is considering retiring from football. He's long been rehabbing his knee, which was injured severely in college at South Carolina. Lattimore seemed to be close to returning in recent weeks, only for soreness to set in to complicate the process.
Now, it just might be too much to handle for the once promising running back.
When healthy, there wasn't a better runner in college football during his days with the Gamecocks. Lattimore was taken in the fourth round of the 2013 draft and spent all of last season on the non-football injury list. He'd recently returned to practice, which is when the setbacks started to arise.
