Alex Mack likely out for the season, Armonty Bryant tore ACL
Cleveland Browns Pro Bowl center Alex Mack is likely out for the season after breaking his leg.
Meanwhile, starting defensive end Armonty Bryant has suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament and is out for the season.
Mack is having surgery.
"It's tough," Browns coach Mike Pettine said. "It's not just losing his play but it's also an emotional letdown as well. A guy who exemplified everything you're trying to get done."
With Mack out, John Greco shifted over from right guard to center.
The Browns are expected to sign a defensive lineman to replace Bryant.
"He will be difficult to replace," Pettine said. "He's one of our most productive pass rushers."
