Falcons' Devin Hester, Harry Douglas not practicing
By Vaughn McClure | ESPN.com
FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. -- Atlanta Falcons wide receiver/return specialist Devin Hester was not on the field for the start of Wednesday's practice.
Hester has been dealing with an ankle injury he suffered in a Week 3 win over Tampa Bay, but he has played in the past two games. He gave no indication of not being able to face his former team, the Chicago Bears, on Sunday at the Georgia Dome.
Fellow receiver Harry Douglas remained sidelined with a deep bruise in his left foot. Douglas was inactive the past two games.
The healthy receivers on the field for the Falcons Wednesday were Julio Jones, Roddy White, and Eric Weems, newly promoted Freddie Martino, and practice squad player Bernard Reedy.
Drew Davis, who remains on the physically unable to perform list following preseason foot surgery, was on the field stretching for the first time since the procedure. Davis is required to sit out the first six weeks of the regular season, meaning he can return to practice next week.
Also at practice, left guard Justin Blalock returned to action off a back injury. Rookie left tackle Jake Matthews, who said he tweaked the left ankle Sunday that he previous injured in the season opener, was on the practice field. Matthews indicated after Sunday's loss to the New York Giants that the tweak was not serious, and he played through it in the game.

I thought he had to sit out the first 6 weeks per the injury settlement.
