Geno Smith fined $12,000 for cursing fan
New York Jets quarterback Geno Smith was fined $12,000 by the NFL for cursing out a fan.
Smith yelled "F-- you!" to a fan following a loss to the Detroit Lions.
The team may also discipline Smith.
"We'll handle it the way we see appropriate," Jets coach Rex Ryan said.
Smith has apologized for his actions.
"I'm aware that my actions [were] not right, so I am subject to a fine," Smith said. "Whatever the ramifications will be, I will accept it."
