Jeff Fisher tabs Austin Davis as starting QB
Shaun Hill is apparently over his quad injury and ready to play football again.
However, he's been relegated to backup duty. Rams coach Jeff Fisher announced on Wednesday that third-year quarterback Austin Davis will start this Sunday's game against the Eagles. Previously, Fisher said that Hill would be the starter once he's healthy.
But Davis did enough and more to change Fisher's mind. In three games, Davis has thrown for 754 yards and three touchdowns. In his most recent game against Dallas, Davis threw for 327 yards but did toss two picks. He has three interceptions for the year.
Before Davis filled in for Hill, Hill was called upon to replace Sam Bradford, who tore his ACL during the preseason.
