Justin Blalock (back), Harry Douglas (foot) held out

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. -- Atlanta Falcons left guard Justin Blalock and wide receiver Harry Douglas were held out of Wednesday's practice with injuries.
Blalock injured his back in Sunday's 41-28 loss at Minnesota, while Douglas was inactive against the Vikings with a foot injury. While Douglas did some light drills with the athletic performance staff Wednesday, Blalock was nowhere to be seen.
The Falcons lost starting center Joe Hawley (ACL) and starting right tackle Lamar Holmes (foot) to season-ending injuries last Sunday after already losing left tackle Sam Baker (knee) during the preseason. Falcons coach Mike Smith said seven offensive linemen will be active for Sunday's game at New York.
Blalock started all 16 games in his previous six seasons. If he is unable to go, the Falcons could shift Gabe Carimi to left guard and play Ryan Schraeder at right tackle. The other option would be to keep Carimi at right tackle and play Harland Gunn at left guard. Gunn was just promoted from the practice squad but played three games at right guard last year.
"I think Harland is game-ready," Falcons coach Mike Smith said. "All the guys are game-ready. They've trained all offseason to prepare to play in games.
"In terms of Harland, he's probably taken more snaps because he's on the scout team and working a few snaps with the offense, at times, based on injuries that have taken place the first four weeks of the season. Harland's probably worked more snaps on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday than our normal guys."
Also at Wednesday's practice, Julio Jones (ankle), Devin Hester (ankle), Kemal Ishmael (ankle), and Prince Shembo (knee) were all limited.
