Falcons' Roddy White (elbow) participates fully in practice
FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. -- Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Roddy White, who had arthroscopic surgery on his right elbow Aug. 24 to remove loose particles, was a full participant in Thursday's practice leading up to Monday night's season opener against the Philadelphia Eagles.
White returned to practice Monday with padding protection on the elbow.
Two other key offensive players, left tackle Jake Matthews and running back Devonta Freeman, were limited Thursday coming off their respective injuries. Matthews is coming off a back strain, and Freeman continues to work his way back from a hamstring strain suffered the first week of training camp.
Linebacker Joplo Bartu (quad) and rookie safety Robenson Therezie (groin) also were limited.
Wide receiver/kick returner Devin Hester did not practice for the second time this week as he continues to recover from turf toe. Falcons coach Dan Quinn indicated Hester should be ready to play by Monday night. Outside linebacker Brooks Reed also sat out practice as he recovers from groin surgery.
